The PMBIA was created to provide the industry with an increased quality of training for mountain bike instructors, by promoting a skill-based teaching method; allowing instructors to be trained and certified to teach in both cross country and downhill settings, through one course.


We expect and encourage all of our coaches to complete their level 1 PMBI training within their first season with us. We continue to support their growth by organizing staff rides and bike maintenance sessions. Further to this, we also ensure that our assistant coaches attend a PMBI training session in partnership with ZEP MTB Camps.

This is the most commonly taught RCABC canoe course. It serves as not only a basic introduction to canoeing, but also introduces skills, manoeuvres and knowledge that people with some canoeing background can often benefit from. See the skills list below. Tandem means two people controlling the canoe.

All Combo Coaches hired before the summer are Lake Water 1 certified.
