CAMPER CHECKLIST
Drop-off and Pick-up
Drop-off is 8:30-8:45am and Pick-up is at 3:00-3:15pm.
The entrance to Camp for Drop-off and Pick-up, is located to the left of the Whistler Racket Club Carpark (WRC, 4500 Northlands Blvd, Whistler, V0N 1C7). You’ll see our flags there.
There will be a temperature and sanitization station at the registration desk. We kindly ask that parents leave the premises immediately after drop-off. This will help ensure additional space for skills checks/games in the morning.
There is plenty of parking available at Camp, please be aware of children walking through the lot.
Lunch and Snacks
Please provide a packed lunch for your child. Lunches should be filling and provide them with enough energy and snacks for the whole day. We will typically have a snack break in the morning and a lunch break at midday.
We do not have access to refrigeration/cooking facilities at Camp, please take this into consideration when packing your lunch (ice packs/coolers recommended).
Combo Camps is a NUT FREE ZONE! Please be aware that many of our campers have nut allergies and any products containing nuts may be confiscated until the end of the day.
Labelling
Please make sure that ALL of your child's belongings are labeled with their FIRST and LAST
names. This will make it easier for us to make sure you receive the correct items at the end of the day. From their hats to their sunscreen, we recommend everything gets labelled.
Small Backpack
Please bring a small backpack that allows for easy access to water - this will ideally be a hydro pack but a small backpack with an accessible outer pocket will be sufficient. We will take this backpack on our morning adventures and it is the best place to store their morning snacks.
Secondary Bag
Please bring a secondary bag with you that contains all of your child’s other items, this includes their lunch, spare clothing, indoor shoes and any other items required for the day. Storage at Camp is limited and loose items are easily lost.
Clothing
Your child will be outside ALL day. Please ensure that your child has packed, or is wearing, the proper outdoor clothing. Summer weather can be difficult to predict so please bring a waterproof layer as well as an extra warm layer, for those wetter days and a sun-hat for the sunnier ones. We recommend closed toe shoes be waterproof/water resistant.
All Campers should come prepared to get wet in the afternoon. Remember your swimming gear, a towel and a change of clothes for those afternoons at the lake. Footwear at the lake is mandatory. Water shoes/flip flops are recommended because soggy trainers are NO FUN!
Sunscreen
Please apply sunscreen on your child in the morning, our coaches will reapply at intervals throughout the day. Whilst we have sunscreen available we recommend bringing your own.
CAMP SPECIFIC CHECKLIST
Bike Camp Equipment
For the first day of Camp please bring a bike that your child is comfortable on, this will ensure they have a great first experience. Our coaches will be able to advise you on what bike is best for your child’s level of riding and when they should progress to a different bike. Please ensure the bike is in good, working condition and has two handbrakes. Whilst we can teach on coaster brakes, we do not recommend them as it will hinder your child’s progress.
Please ensure that your child has a spare tube relative to their wheel size available to them.
Your child will also need the following protective items:
A helmet
