FAQs
KIDDY COMBO CAMPS FAQs
Does my child need to be 3 years old on the first day of camp?
No - but all 2 year olds must have a trail day to ensure the camp is a right fit for your child.
Does my child need to be potty trained to come to camp?
We would like all children to be potty trained, but we understand they may still have accidents. Please email info@combocamps.com to discuss this with us further.
Does my child have to be able to bike to join camp?
No. We love teaching kids to bike! If this is their first time, they can join our balance bike group.
If they are already ripping that's awesome and we will find a suitable group for their ability.
What should I pack for my child's day of camp?
We recommend packing the following.
• Weather appropriate attire for the days forecast we are outside rain, hail or shine! (rain gear, windbreakers, warm clothing when necessary).
• Camelback with snack for AM biking (no nuts!)
• Packed lunch, (no nuts!)
• A hat.
• June - Sept - We often go on the water during these months. Please refer to the schedule for our water days and pack a swimsuit, water-shoes and a towel.
What bike gear should I bring with my child to camp?
- Helmet
- Biking gloves (winter gloves in April and Oct).
- Bike Pads.
- Camelback or small backpack with water/water bottle and nut free snack.
- A bike!
What sort of bike should I bring for my child?
Kiddy Combo Campo is a XC mountain bike camp. Your child will be working their way to being able to ride mountain bike trails and will want a bike that makes it safe and fun.
Ideally your child will have a bike with two hand brakes and no back pedal brakes. Children who don’t pedal independently should have either run bikes or pedal bikes with hand breaks with just the pedals removed.
Please check that your child’s bike is in good working order that their brakes work, they can reach the brake leavers, the tyres have enough tread and the tires are pumped to an appropriate level for your child.
Does my child have to bring snacks and lunch and can it contain nuts?
Yes, please bring a healthy packed lunch - but no nuts (or peanut butter) as we are are nut free camp.
